Therapy Corps is designed to meet the need for more therapists to serve children (0-17) and their families in Northwest Lower Michigan.
Children (0-17) will be referred to skilled therapists who have volunteered to provide free mental health support and services.
Our mission is to ensure that those in need have access to professional care, even if financial barriers exist.
Children (0-17) and their families residing in the Grand Traverse Region are eligible for Therapy Corps. The program will be expanded into other regions of Northwest Lower Michigan after the first year.
Therapy Corps is for the uninsured, the underinsured, and Medicaid-eligible children (0-17) and their families.
No insurance or payment is required to participate.
Access to services is contingent on the availability of our volunteer therapists.

Referrals can be made through our website by a community organization, or by a family member.
For individuals, providers and agencies click on the tabs above to access the online easy confidential application.
Priority is given to those families and children who are on Medicaid or who are underinsured.
Therapy Corps will provide a free referral to a skilled therapist based upon the needs of the child and their family. Referral will be based upon the availability of a skilled therapist.
Therapy Corps is made possible because of a grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund. It is free for those who qualify.
Licensed therapists who want to volunteer to work with one youth/family per week can sign up through the tab above labeled therapist.
Therapy Corps matches individuals with participating therapists who have committed to offering free weekly sessions. We match youth to a therapist based on their presenting concerns and the focus areas of the therapist, as well as therapist availability. Once matched, families can coordinate directly with their assigned therapist to schedule sessions and begin their journey toward mental well-being.
